What is LIONS?
LIONS is an international association of clubs that was formed in Chicago on June 7, 1917 and is today present throughout the world.
Through active efforts, we help people who are in need of support.
This is done, among other things, through personal support for young people in the form of youth exchanges or worldwide campaigns to, for example, combat "unnecessary" blindness.
The funds that Lions collect go entirely to help.
All administration at all levels is paid for by the members' annual fees.
Lions actively work to promote world peace
But do not take a position on political or religious issues.
Lions condemn violence and oppression in all its forms.
Lions adhere to the UN Declaration of Human Rights.
