.Are you interested in helping people who are having a hard time in life and at the same time enjoying a wonderful community? Then Lions Club Bankeryd-Jönköping is for you.
The goal of our business is to help those in need and to improve society. We do this by raising money in various ways, which we then distribute locally, nationally and internationally. All the money we raise goes entirely to relief efforts.
All members contribute, to the best of their ability and as time permits, by participating in some of the activities we arrange.
Joining a Lions Club gives you the opportunity to come up with new ideas, work locally, nationally or internationally. You make new friends in a network of Lions members. You also make the community better for those who live there and have fun at the same time.
How do we work?
We meet once a month, except in July and August, to report on our various activities, etc. Then we have a joint meal together arranged by our club management and often listen to an interesting lecture. Each activity has its own committee that plans the year's activities and coordinates staffing. The meetings are informal and the enjoyment factor is high - we have fun while working for a good cause. Every other time we meet, those who wish are welcome to bring their own.
